Is this a good time to remind you that Malaysia is a Muslim country? Double entendre overdrive! This newspaper ad blows me away, but I believe it is from a Singaporean daily.
My main order of business was to get a two-month visa for Indonesia, but when I went to the embassy in Kuala Lumpur to get my visa, I was initially turned away for wearing shorts.

Reflection off the water in Melaka. I stayed in a hostel I found searching "Melaka hostel" on the internet and found a little place run by some young guys who proudly said that everything in the hostel was refurbished discarded junk. My saggy, shaky bed bore testament to this.

Father's Guest House at Cameron Highlands. I hitchhiked from here to Kuala Lumpur in time to catch the shuttle bus to the airport for my flight to Indonesia--very risky since I was over 200km away, but I made it.
